Electronic Labor Day livestream to support rebuilding in Beirut | Music Ally

The explosion in Beirut on 4 August was devastating, killing nearly 200 people and injuring thousands more, while destroying buildings across a large swathe of the city.

One of the latest relief efforts comes from the music industry: a livestreaming event called ‘For Beirut’ that has been organised by the Electronic Labor Day initiative and Beatport. It kicks off on 13 September as a 12-hour livestream with a host of dance-music stars taking part: Carl Cox, David Morales, Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong, Amelie Lens, Blondish and more.

People tuning in are being encouraged to make donations, with the money set to be divided between three relief initiatives: Beirut Emergency Fund, Impact Lebanon and Bebw’shebbek. The goal is $500k, with donations already past the $50k mark three days before the event begins, which is a good start.
