1000+ Black Artists, Producers, Labels To Support On Bandcamp Today
Bandcamp is waiving all commissions today Friday June 5th, from midnight to midnight Pacific Time
Some indie artists and labels have created special releases for today including some in support of racial justice and change.
A group of volunteers has also put together a list of more than 1000 Black artists, producers and labels to support on Bandcamp today.
“This sheet is a work in progress (non-exhaustive) and administered by a group of volunteers – any additions/edits/suggestions are very welcome via e-mail with links to collectivedatavol@gmail.com,” reads the top of the Google spreadsheet. “Please only suggest Black producers / artists or Black owned labels.”
On Juneteenth (June 19) Bandcamp has also pledged to donate 100% of its share of sales to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
