Take a listen and add these releases to your weekend-at-home soundtrack.

eli. – undefined. (Black 17)

West-Virginia native Eli Lucas, better known as eli., is known for blending different genres, sounds, and styles into one cohesive creative expression. eli. garnered a passionate fanbase following his weekly YouTube uploads and a constant outpour of new music. Handling every aspect of his music himself–songwriting, recording, instrumentation, mixing and even creating the cover art–the 21-year-old pours his heart and soul into his music, resulting in a deeply personal body of work. Accurately named for his genre-bending style, eli.’s fourth full-length album undefined. explores pain, self-doubt, and the freeing of himself from preconceived ideas and versions of himself. This album will make you both dance and cry, maybe even both at the same time. Set any expectations of alternative music aside and listen to undefined., out now.

Pip Millett – Lost In June (+FOUR)

Pip Millett has burst onto the UK scene and is ready to take over the world with her introspective lyrics and warm vocals. The London based, Manchester-born artist saw her breakout debut with “Make Me Cry,” a track that is melodically simple but carries a lyrical weight that all listeners can reflect on. Millet welcomes you into the dark battles she takes on alone, while comforting you with her sultry voice and bluesy vibe. Her new EP Lost In June brings to life topics like identity, loneliness, strength, love, heartbreak, and loss. The EP evokes a sense of calmness and introspectiveness that we all could use right now. Millet has solidified her place in the world of UK R&B and is proving to be one of the year’s best new artists.  Listen to the phenomenal EP Lost In June, out now.

Sparta – Trust the River (Dine Alone Music)

Back with their first album in almost fifteen years, Sparta is ready to jump right back into the rock scene. Led by one of rock’s most celebrated creatives Jim Ward, with help from bassist Matt Miller, guitarist Gabriel Gonzalez, and drummer Cully Symington, the band embarked on a long journey to create Trust the River. After many months of songwriting and recording, the band’s new album is the intersection of Ward’s experience in heavy rock bands and his more melancholic solo work. Trust the River is the result of all the members letting loose and having fun with music again. The album combines hope, regret, and everything in between, and packages it with power chords and fiery instrumentals. Be wowed by a blast from the past with a modern twist with Trust the River, out now.
