The film follows Pearlman, from his childhood in Queens, through launching groups *NSYNC and The Backstreet Boys, and chronicles his later life, including his perpetration of one of the largest Ponzi schemes in American history.

A trailer for the film was released via YouTube and features interviews with former members of his bands such as the Backstreet Boys and N’Sync who allege financial misconduct against Pearlman.

- N*SYNC’s Chris Kirkpatrick

However, the trailer did not touch on the allegations of sexual misconduct that surrounded Pearlman before he was convicted in 2008 of bilking 1,700 people out of $500 million in a concert investment Ponzi scheme.

Pearlman died in prison in 2016.
