Voter engagement advocacy group HeadCount, Fort William Artist Management and livestreaming series Live From Out There announced "VOTE READY, A Concert for Voter Registration" on Thursday.

The streamed concert, slated for August 14 at 7 p.m. ET, will feature several Fort William artists, including The War On Drugs, Fleet Foxes' Robin Pecknold, Grizzly Bear's Daniel Rossen and Christopher Bear, Kevin Morby and The Building, as well as TV On The Radio's Kyp Malone and Jaleel Bunton, Waxahatchee, Tarriona Tank Ball, Hand Habits, Ciggy, The Suffers' Kam Franklin and Our Native Daughters' Allison Russell and Leyla McCalla.

The show will include original self-recorded and socially distanced performances, and perhaps best of all, is free – provided fans check their voter registration status via HeadCount prior to the event.

"Voter registration could not be more critical at this time," Fort William owner Ami Spishock said in a statement. "With deadlines coming up, we wanted to get the word out to everyone we can reach through music and HeadCount to check your status and make sure you are ready for the next election."

Added HeadCount executive director: "This is a first of its kind event. We love the idea of serving up original performances to anyone who checks their voter registration status. We applaud the artists and Fort William Management for their leadership, and we hope it inspires many more similar events in the future."

HeadCount and Live From Out There are also among several partners for Daze Between, the nine-day streaming event honoring late Grateful Dead co-founder Jerry Garcia that's scheduled for Aug. 1 to Aug. 9.

Live From Out There co-founders Ben Baruch and Dave DiCianni appeared on Pollstar's cover in June, and Baruch was featured on the Impact 50 list earlier this month.
