BPI and ERA to host insights session on children and music | Music Ally

News that British industry bodies the BPI and ERA are hosting a ‘New Kids On The Block’ livestreamed event later this month may raise eyebrows, but sorry, it’s not the famous man-band.

‘New Kids on the Block: Insight into a New Generation’ will be an online event focusing on the importance of children as music fans, and the role they might play in future music consumption.

Research firm Kids Insights – we wrote about their last report in February – will set the scene with their data on kids’ digital habits, including music – followed by speakers drawn from the music and children’s media industries. Music Ally is also a partner for the event. It takes place online on 23 July at 4pm BST, and is free to register for – while priority will go to BPI and ERA members, non-members can also apply for tickets. Here’s the link you’ll need either way.
