Midem Digital Edition confirms speakers for this week’s event | Music Ally

This week should be the annual Midem music industry conference in Cannes, but due to Covid-19 the event will be online-only.

Midem has now confirmed its final lineup for the event, which runs from tomorrow to the end of the week (2-5 June). The keynote speakers include T.I. and Nasty C; Akon; YouTube’s Tuma Basa; K-Pop artist Ailee; Kobalt founder Willard Ahdritz; Believe CEO Denis Ladegaillerie; Capitol’s Amber Grimes and Interscope’s Nicole Wyskoarko; Pepsi’s Ellen Healy; and SoundCloud’s Kerry Trainor, Downtown Music’s Justin Kalifowitz and The Raine Group’s Fred Davis.

There will also be masterclass sessions from Arabian Prince, Wyclef Jean and Ibeyi among other artists and producers; sessions on Covid-19’s impact on the music industry; workshops by Spotify and Believell; and the annual Midemlab startups contest.

The full programme is here: some video sessions will be released for viewing every morning, while others will be streamed as-live in the afternoons, to a schedule. The event is free to register for here.
