If Spotify ever gathers together its exclusive podcast signings for a photo, it’s going to be quite the constellation.
Barack and Michelle Obama, Joe Rogan, and now Kim Kardashian West. At least that’s according to the Wall Street Journal, which reported that Kardashian West has signed an exclusive deal to produce and host a new podcast for Spotify. What’s it about? Criminal justice. Which isn’t such a surprising topic, as The Verge explains: “Kardashian West is a vocal advocate for criminal justice reform and has been studying to become a lawyer through an apprenticeship program. Through her studies, she has worked extensively with the Innocence Project, a nonprofit that focuses on exonerating wrongly convicted individuals through DNA testing and advocating for broader criminal justice reforms.” The show will be released through Spotify’s Parcast subsidiary.
