GB Aayeer appointed CEO of PPL India | Music Business Worldwide


Music collection body PPL India, which represents over 356 labels and over 3 million works, has appointed GB Aayeer as its new CEO.

The appointment was announced today March (31) by Mandar Thakur, COO, Times Music and Chairman of the board of PPL.

GB Aayeer worked with the Saregama record label in various capacities prior to joining PPL, including CFO, Interim CEO and Executive Director on the Board.

Aayeer, who has 38 years’ experience in senior positions in large corporate organizations, takes over from Rajat Kakar.

PPL is the only CMO in India which is affiliated with the IFPI, the global trade body for the recorded music industry.
