A new year means new singles, new EPs, and new albums. Happy New Year to everyone across the globe and cheers to the many new releases that are to come in 2020. We’d like to kick off 2020 by introducing you to a few fresh releases to kick off your year.
Ilana Glazer – Ilana Glazer: The Planet Is Burning (Comedy Dynamics)
Ilana Glazer has taken her humor from computer screen to TV screen and now to the stage. As one half of the writing and acting duo behind the hit comedy series Broad City, Ilana has worked alongside Abbi Jacobson first on the web series and then as the quirky and lovable friendship duo on Comedy Central. Now, Ilana has set her sites on stand-up in the latest Amazon Prime special Ilana Glazer: The Planet Is Burning. Glazer uses humor to critique and point out the laughable truths of modern society. The audio version of the special (which is out today on Amazon Prime) is available across all streaming services via Comedy Dynamics. Ring in the new year with laughter and get to know the real Ilana and how she differs from her Broad City character.
Lincoln Lim – Gravity EP (Cross Ratio Entertainment)
For fans of indie-folk acts like Ben Howard and James Vincent McMorrow, Lincoln Lim is your artist to watch. Lim is originally from Singapore, but has recently been making his name heard across the globe through viral Spotify charts and more. The 23 year old singer-songwriter has been releasing singles since 2017 and has just released his first EP entitled Gravity via Cross Ratio Entertainment. Lincoln said that the EP took a year and a half to produce across three different continents! The concept of Gravity stems from Sylvia Plath’s proverbial fig tree, and being drawn down a particular path in life, for better or for worse. Stitched Up Heart – Bones EP (Another Century)
American metal group Stitched Up Heart (Another Century) has just released their latest single, “Bones.” “Bones” is the group’s eighth single release from their upcoming studio album, Darkness. Darkness is scheduled to be released in March 2020 and fans are hungry for more Stitched Up Heart. Rock radio station KISW said they’ve “been thirsty for new music” ever since they heard Stitched Up Heart’s debut album released in 2016, Never Alone. Be on the lookout for more waterfall single releases leading up to the full album release in Spring 2020. In the meantime, enjoy the group’s latest track, “Bones.”
