88Rising inks exclusive global deal with Kobalt | Music Business Worldwide


Kobalt has signed an exclusive worldwide deal with global media collective and record label focusing on Asian talent, 88Rising.

The partnership includes creative, sync and world rights excluding China as well as catalog and futures for their roster, including Joji, Rich Brian, NIKI and The Higher Brothers.

Founded by Sean Miyashiro in 2015, 88rising has quickly escalated to selling out world tours, hosting festivals and working with global stars.

Best known as the team behind internet sensations such as Joji, Rich Brian, Higher Brothers NIKI and Keith Ape, 88rising has clocked up around 7 billion streams and has offices in New York, Los Angeles and Shanghai.
