10K Projects inks JV deal with Taz Taylor’s Internet Money collective | Music Business Worldwide

Independent music company 10K Projects has signed multi-platinum producer/writer, multi-instrumentalist Taz Taylor and his creative collective Internet Money to a joint venture label deal.

The first track released under the new agreement is Somebody, by Internet Money featuring Lil Tecca and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie which is being released on all platforms tomorrow (October 11).

Taylor, who started his career selling beats from his bedroom online, has been associated with some of the biggest hip-hop hits of the last two years, contributing to tracks for XXXTentacion, Desiigner, Kodak Black, Trippie Redd, Juice WRLD, Big Sean, Drake, Gucci Mane and Chris Brown.

More recently his work with Lil Tecca on his Ransom single was a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Other artists currently being developed under the joint venture are Iann Dior, who’s “Gone Girl” featuring Trippie Redd is currently on the charts, and Florida-based PoorStacy.

A self-taught musician from Jacksonville, Florida, Taz Taylor first emerged on the scene, selling beats for a one-time fee.

He also developed a variety of software sound packages for sale online. Within two years, Taylor was generating more than $500,000 annually with his online business.

In 2017 he signed a music publishing deal with Warner/Chappell’s Artist Publishing Group.

Taylor’s Internet Money youTube channel has more than 300,000 subscribers and millions of views.

To date he has invited such producers/beatmakers as Nick Mira (Juice WRLD, Post Malone, Tierra Whack), JRHITMAKER (Drake, Rich The Kid, Tekashi 6ix9ine) and KC Supreme (Megan Thee Stallion, Iann Dior, Trevor Daniel) into the Internet Money fold.
