FUGA Italy strikes digital service deal with independent label and distribution company Planet Records | Music Business Worldwide


The Italian office of FUGA has struck a global digital service deal with independent label and distribution company Planet Records.

The deal covers Planet Records’ core roster of Latin American and European acts as well as the many dozens of artists and labels distributed through its Planet Distribution service.

Planet Records’ label has released music by the likes of Daddy Yankee, Pitbull, Prince Royce, Omega, Gente de Zona, Nicky Jam, Romeo Santos, Osmani Garcia, Raulin Rodriguez, as well as licensing Latin star Aventura and Italian releases for the likes of Spice Girl Melanie C and Tears for Fears, reaching 19 Platinum and 15 Gold records certified to date.

Planet Records has operations in Miami, Napoli, La Havana, Milan, New York as well as Colombia and the Dominican Republic.

This deal marks a major milestone for FUGA’s recently opened division, having secured over 40 new clients in its inaugural year of operation.
