Watch the trailers for The CW’s new shows ‘Batwoman,’ ‘Nancy Drew’ and ‘Katy Keene’ | Advertising Age

As part of Ad Age’s continuing TV upfronts coverage, we’re serving up trailers for new fall series all week long. Today’s serving of freshmen shows comes to us courtesy of The CW. For full details, see “The CW practices patience in 2019-2020 season.” As Ad Age’s Jeanine Poggi and Anthony Crupi report,

Having renewed nearly its entire primetime lineup back on January 31, The CW entered pilot season with a short list of projects needed to fill the rare vacancies on the fall schedule. As such, the network will introduce just two new series in October, one of which adds yet another DC Comics property into the mix.

The DC Comics property is “Batwoman” (trailer above), scheduled to air in the 8 p.m. ET time slot on Sundays. The other new scheduled show is “Nancy Drew” (below), a supernatural take on the detective books, set for 9:00 p.m. Wednesdays.

Bonus sneak peak (also below): midseason replacement “Katy Keene,” which, like The CW’s existing hit “Riverdale,” derives from the Archie Comics universe.
