Elicia Felix-Hughey joins Sony/ATV as SVP, Global Human Resources | Music Business Worldwide

Elicia Felix-Hughey (pictured) has joined Sony/ATV in the newly-created role of Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources.

At the same time, Tom Kelly has been promoted to Global Chief Financial Officer at Sony/ATV Music Publishing, it was announced today by Chairman and CEO Jon Platt.

These are the first senior executive moves made by Platt since he became Sony/ATV Chairman and CEO on April 1 as he starts to shape the company’s leadership team.

Both Kelly and Felix-Hughey will report directly to him and will be based in the company’s head office in New York.

As CFO Kelly will oversee all aspects of Sony/ATV’s worldwide financial operations, including reporting, accounting, compliance, budget, administration and corporate strategy. Global royalties and IT will report to him.

Kelly started his career in the music industry at EMI Music Publishing, which he joined in 1991 after working in public accounting at Ernst & Young.

At EMI he held a number of senior positions, including SVP of Finance for North America, EVP of Worldwide Finance and CFO, a role he took up in 2008. When EMI Music Publishing became part of Sony/ATV in 2012 he was appointed EVP, Finance & Administration.

As SVP, Global Human Resources, Felix-Hughey will be responsible for all of the company’s HR operations across its network of 38 offices in 24 countries.

Felix-Hughey joins Sony/ATV with an extensive background in HR, including most recently working at Octave Group, the parent company of TouchTunes, as Vice President of Global Human Resources.

Prior to TouchTunes she was Director, Human Resources at the Harry Fox Agency and spent more than seven years at EMI Music Publishing where she rose to the role of VP, Human Resources.
