Blue Raincoat Artists hires managers Darin Harmon and Josh Fisher | Music Business Worldwide

Blue Raincoat Artists has hired LA based artist manager Darin Harmon and Josh Fisher, who will further bolster the company’s alternative and electronic music management arms.

Harmon brings with him US artist Phoebe Bridgers (pictured), while Fisher looks after Mexican techno DJ Hector.

As well as artist representation, Harmon will oversee the Chrysalis Records catalogue in the US, which was acquired by Blue Raincoat from Warner in 2016.

Artists on the roster include The Specials, Sinead O’Connor, The Waterboys, Ten Years After, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Steve Harley, Fun Boy Three, Ultravox, Generation X and the Two Tone label.

Harmon began his career in A&R at labels including Capitol Records, Reprise / Warner Bros Records, Grand Royal Records and Nettwerk Records, before moving into artist management at Nettwerk.

He left to become co-founder of 3D Management with clients including Coldplay, My Chemical Romance, Jenny Lewis, Anthony and The Johnsons and Scissor Sisters.

After a stint as senior manager at Bill Silva Management working with Linkin Park, he most recently spent time at CAM/Artist Nation managing All American Rejects and Breaking Benjamin.

In hiring Harmon, Blue Raincoat Artists is further expanding into the alternative music world after hiring New York-based Ed Harris who brought Cigarettes After Sex into the company last year.

Josh Fisher has a club background, having been events manager at legendary Ibiza venue Space.

“Bringing Darin on board demonstrates the ambitions we have at BRA in the world of artist management, I am also delighted to welcome Josh to the company.”

Jeremy Lascelles, CEO Blue Raincoat Music and Chrysalis Records said: “Bringing Darin on board demonstrates the ambitions we have at BRA in the world of artist management.

“Not only does he carry with him a wealth of experience across records and management, he brings us Phoebe Bridgers, one the most genuinely talented and exciting artists to emerge in the last couple of years.

“The first time I heard her was one of those seminal moments when you knew you were listening to something genuinely extraordinary. Who she is as an artist embodies everything we believe in at BRM.

“I am also delighted to welcome Josh to the company, where he will work alongside Jamie Smithson in continuing to grow and develop our exciting roster of DJ’s and electronic music artists.”

“We have big ambitions to combine our strengths and build a home for artists on a global level.”
