Kobalt signs publishing deal with Childish Gambino and Wolf + Rothstein collective | Music Business Worldwide


Kobalt has signed a global publishing deal with Grammy Award-winning Childish Gambino that also covers his songwriters and artist collective Wolf + Rothstein.

The deal with Gambino includes publishing administration, global synch and creative support services for all of his future songs after his latest album released in 2016, Awaken, My Love!

In addition, the agreement includes music released by his creative agency Wolf + Rothstein, which is comprised of Gambino and his collaborators Wolf Taylor and Fam Rothstein.

Glover broke into pop culture mainstream first as an actor on the hit TV sitcom Community after serving on the writing staff of both The Daily Show and 30 Rock.

In August 2011, he signed to Glassnote Records under his rap moniker Childish Gambino and has since released two albums.

Glover currently stars in the FX series Atlanta, which he created and occasionally directs.

Operating out of Temple Studios in Los Angeles, Wolf + Rothstein all worked with the band that helped compose Awaken My Love!

Released in December 2017, the album and hit single Redbone’ were nominated for five Grammy Awards: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Traditional R&B Performance (winner), Best R&B Song, and Best Urban Contemporary Album.Music Business Worldwide
