As rumored, Amazon has rolled out its Prime Music service in India, with apps available for web, Android and iOS. The streaming service is now included in all Rs. 999/$15 USD annual Amazon Prime memberships which includes shipping, video and other perks.. Local competitors including Saavn, Gaana, Apple Music and Google Play Music charge between Rs. 1,200 ($15) and Rs. 1,440 ($22) yearly, just for music
It is unclear how large a music library Prime Music unlocks at launch. But the service does include local and regional content in Hindi, English, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Gujarati and Rajasthani.
In the US, Amazon Prime Music offers about 2 million tracks.
