UMPG and Disney Music Publishing expand worldwide deal | Music Business Worldwide


Universal Music Publishing Group will now administer the catalogue of Disney Music Publishing in a host of new territories including the UK, Ireland and continental Europe.

The new deal also covers Israel and countries in Africa and the Caribbean. 

Effective from the beginning of this year, the agreement expands upon an existing one that covers South East Asia, and territories in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean.

UMPG began representing DMP’s music publishing catalogs in 2004 through a Southeast Asia sub-publishing agreement.

In 2015, the representation expanded to include Latin America (excluding Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay), and various countries in the Middle East, North Africa, East Africa and the Caribbean.

In 2016, the relationship extended to include South Africa and additional African countries.

Universal Music Group is also the global distributor for Disney’s recording catalog.Music Business Worldwide
