Sen. Al Franken Reacts to Mansplaining by Tech Lawyers from Facebook, Google and Twitter | MUSIC • TECHNOLOGY • POLICY

Many, many years ago now, I asked one of those guys who do things with stuff why the KGB did so many little things, seemingly small beer, to push issues that seem connected to their agenda remotely at best.  He said as if giving the answer of 2 plus 2:  “To increase the level of contradiction in society.”

That’s it?

“That’s it.  The rest happens by itself.”

This stuff is really not hard, but apparently it is extraordinarily difficult under at least one condition for sure.  And it’s one condition that we all know from years of experience of dealing with these people and it’s the one thing Sen. Franken didn’t really ask directly:  You can’t find what you don’t look for.

Such as selling advertising to users who self-identified as “jew hater”.

I wish I could get excited about this big reveal, but it is, frankly, exactly the kind of thing we’ve been dealing with for a good ten years in different capacities.

But one good thing–these lawyers are straight out of Central Casting, especially the one from Google.  And another thing–it’s just too perfect when these clowns thank the Members for their question.  That always is just sooo believable.  Please keep sending them to Capitol Hill.  Please, please, please.

Repeat after me…rubles have ridges.
