BMG switches BBR Music Group’s distribution to ADA | Music Business Worldwide

BMG has switched worldwide distribution of its Nashville-based BBR Music Group to ADA, the independent distribution and services arm of Warner Music Group (WMG).

BBR Music Group, which includes the Broken Bow Records, Stoney Creek Records, and Wheelhouse Records labels, is home to country stars such as Jason Aldean (pictured), Dustin Lynch, Trace Adkins and Chase Rice.

The new deal follows the partnership between ADA and BMG in 2016, and BMG’s subsequent acquisition of BBR Music Group for over $100m which closed at the start of this year.

ADA’s first release with BBR Music Group is Current Mood, the third studio album by Dustin Lynch which entered the Billboard Country Albums chart at 2 and main Billboard 200 at 7.

Upcoming BBR Music Group releases include Granger Smith’s “When The Good Guys Win” and Chase Rice’s “Lambs & Lions.”

ADA says it will dedicate distribution, marketing and label service resources in Nashville and around the world to promote BBR Music Group’s artists.

“We are doubling down on ADA’s efforts in Nashville, with new staff and resources, and look forward to contributing to the rapid growth in the city.”

Jon Loba, EVP of BBR Music Group, said, “Becoming part of BMG has allowed us to scale up our ambition both in the US and internationally. We are excited to now be able to enjoy the benefits of BMG’s partnership with ADA.”

BMG EVP Rights Administration Ben Katovsky, who is responsible for the company’s supply chain worldwide, said, “Bringing BBR Music Group on board is the logical next step in the consolidation of BMG’s distribution at ADA. We look forward to ADA helping us take BBR Music Group’s extraordinary roster to the next level.”
