Atlantic and Mike Caren’s APG launch online pop talent search EMERGE | Music Business Worldwide

Atlantic Records and its sub-label Artist Partner Group (APG) are on the hunt for extraordinary artists online.

The Warner-owned record companies have launched EMERGE, which they dub a ‘groundbreaking nationwide, social media-driven search for exceptional teen Pop/R&B talent’.

The companies have partnered with AEG Presents, Deckstar, Deutsch and Spotify for the initiative.

EMERGE is accepting submissions from artists and musicians between the ages of 13 and 19, who are residents of the U.S. or Canada (excluding Quebec), beginning today through Sunday, November 12.

Complete details and instructions on how to enter can be found through here.

All entries will be reviewed by Atlantic A&R representatives, before the winners are offered a major label contract.

“EMERGE is all about breaking the barrier to entry for outstanding young artists,” said Artist Partner Group Founder & CEO Mike Caren.

“This campaign isn’t about industry relationships or market research, but about creating a new channel from performer to label, combined with the expertise of our friends at AEG Presents, Deckstar, Deutsch and Spotify.”
