MBW is launching Music Business UK magazine. Subscribe today. | Music Business Worldwide

The UK music business is getting a brand new trade magazine – and you’re going to want to lay your hands on it.

Music Business UK is a properly premium quarterly title brought to you by the owners of Music Business Worldwide.

Unusually for an industry periodical, it looks beautiful… and it feels beautiful.

The goal, if you hadn’t guessed, is simple: to reflect the stories and the passion of the smartest, funniest and most exciting people working in the British music industry, in a publication worthy of their time.

The present, past and future of the business – told with personality, history, opinion, intelligence, humour, revelations… and great writing.

Just wait till you see who’s in the first issue, out mid-November.

We’re staying tight-lipped for now. But it’s pretty mega.

On that topic, we’re proud that MBUK will offer exclusive regular contributions from some of the sharpest minds in music journalism and market insights – including: MIDiA Research founder Mark Mulligan, celebrated music writer Peter Robinson (aka Popjustice), Spotify’s Director Of Economics Will Page, Lewis Silkin partner Cliff Fluet and respected music biz journalist Rhian Jones.

“No pressure, but our mission is to make Music Business UK the best trade magazine in the world,” said Music Business Worldwide founder, Tim Ingham.

“When you think about it, that’s not actually too lofty a goal: we have access to some of the most interesting and influential executives working in entertainment, during one of the most thrilling and unpredictable eras in music industry history.

“We just have to turn that into a sophisticated magazine bursting with quality that everyone wants to read. So that’s what we’re going to do.”

Music Business UK Associate Publisher, Dave Roberts, said: “Tim has created something really rather special (not to mention well-read and widely respected) with MBW – and he’s going to do the same with MBUK.

“In the build-up to launching a new print title dedicated to the UK music business in 2017, my role has been largely to ask, Are you sure?

“The answer has always been, and remains: hell yes.”

Music Business UK’s initial print run is large but limited. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
