The Orchard expands as it hires Ken Seki as Director, Japan | Music Business Worldwide


Entertainment distribution company The Orchard has hired Ken Seki as Director, Japan based in Tokyo.

Seki has over 25 years of experience in the Japanese music and entertainment business, with a background in recorded music, broadcasting, licensing, publishing and management.

Previous to The Orchard, he worked with companies such as YUI Music Factory, For Life Music Entertainment, MTV, Sony, Marvel Entertainment, Omnifone, LINE and more.

In his newly-formed position, Seki will act as The Orchard’s industry representative in Japan, managing relationships with local artists, labels and retailers.

The hire represents an expansion into a key Asian market for Sony-owned The Orchard.

Seki will report to The Orchard’s Vice President of Global Business Development, Tom Wheeley.
