Tove Lo wants fans to ‘dress to impress’ for Animal Crossing party | Music Ally

Slowly but surely, the lockdown Animal Crossing: New Horizons habits of several Music Ally staff are looking like a boon for our work, rather than a distraction from it.

Tove Lo is the latest artist to get hooked on the Nintendo Switch game, and now she’s going to use it to perform a DJ set this Saturday (18 July) using the game. She’ll be picking six fans to join her on her island within the game, based on the quality of their characters’ outfits.

“You gotta dress to impress to enter,” she wrote on Instagram yesterday. “Design an outfit for your #ACNH character and post with #ToveLoAnimalCrossing to enter.  I’ll pick my favorites on Friday and send winners a dodo code for entry.”

[Dodo codes being the invitation system used by the game for people to visit one another’s islands].

The DJ set will be broadcast more widely on YouTube channel NintenTalk, which has already aired a nearly two and a half hours livestream (!) of the process of building a virtual concert stage for the event.
