Fresh on the heels of a new single, LP is planning her first ticketed livestream concert on Aug. 1 at 1 p.m. PST.
Streaming from Los Angeles’ The Beehive studios, LP will take to the airwaves to perform music from her own catalogue, covers and new music, including her latest single, “The One That You Love.”
Tickets are available for $20 and VIP packages start at $50, and include perks like a “sit-in” on the July 31 soundcheck, access to exclusive content, a backstage Q&A and merch.
“I was expecting to tour throughout 2020 around the world, but unfortunately we had to postpone that to 2021. So, to lift my own spirits, and hopefully other people’s, I decided to put together a proper concert here in LA, live-streamed everywhere, for everyone to be a part of. And, in support of our larger cultural issues, I’m donating a portion of proceeds to The National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) - a civil rights organization whose mission is to fight racism, homophobia, and LGBTQ/SQL bias and stigma.”
LP reported many shows during her 2020 tour, including stops in Oakland ($77,770 grossed), Austin ($36,114 grossed) and Dublin ($54,143 grossed). She has been a regular presence on the road since the mid-2000s, but her career really started picking up steam in 2014, when she released the album Forever for Now.
