Startup Gotickety talks Example tie-up and streaming plans | Music Ally

We last covered Gotickety when it launched in September 2018, calling itself the “Candy Crush for the Music Industry” where users of the app play games in order to win meet and greets with musicians, personal video messages from stars as well as tickets/merchandise.

The company has now revealed the results of a recent partnership with British rapper and producer Example. The prizes included merchandise, a meet and greet and tickets to his UK tour. It ran for three weeks and Gotickety says the game was played more than 40k times and resulted in 100k minutes of fan engagement. It adds that adverts for his tour were viewed over 200k times.

Gotickety also says that it is currently “finalising deals” with all three major labels to stream the music of acts in-app if users have a premium DSP subscription. The company is looking to launch in the US this year and will also be expanding beyond music, with sports companies, film/TV studios and assorted brands in its sights.
