#NextStageChallenge seeks tech solutions for music industry’s Covid-19 challenges | Music Ally

A group of European music companies and organisations are launching a two-week hackathon called #NextStageChallenge, which aims to find inventive solutions to some of the challenges that the Covid-19 pandemic has created for musicians and the music industry.

There’s a open call for submissions until 24 April, with the hackathon kicking off on 27 April across three areas: access (creation, production, broadcasting, curation); Fan Engagement (audience, user experience, immersive technologies) and Value (monetisation, monitoring, rights management).

At the end of the two weeks, the best submissions will be chosen to join an accelerator program, capped off by a conference to show their solutions off to the wider industry.

Music Ally is one of the companies collaborating on the challenge alongside Music Innovation Hub (Italy), Music Norway (Norway), Music Tech Germany (Germany), Sacem (France), Sound Diplomacy (UK), STHLM Music City (Sweden), Technoport (Luxembourg), Teosto (Finland), TheLynk (France) and Wallifornia Music Tech (Belgium).

You can find out more details on the official website.
