UMG Head Lucian Grainge Hospitalized With Coronavirus
Universal Music Chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge has been hospitalized after testing positive for coronavirus.
According to multiple sources, Grainge is receiving treatment at Los Angeles’ UCLA Medical Center.
Grainge’s illness was also a cause for concern for the many West Coast power players who attended his 60th birthday celebration on Feb. 29 in Palm Springs, sources told Variety.
Apple execs Tim Cook and Eddie Cue and music mega-manager Irving Azoff were among those in attendance.
Symptoms of COVID-19 often do not present themselves until as long as two weeks after infection.
