The Steppeulven Awards Announce 2020 Winners

The 16th Steppeulven Award Show was held on the 25th of January at the sold out Bremen Teater in Copenhagen. The Orchard took part again as a proud sponsor of the category “Release of the Year.” Behind the prestigious award show is Foreningen Danske Musikkritikere (the Association Danish Music Critics). The show is a tribute to a mix of new and established artists from the Danish music scene.
The Orchard distributed artist, Onkel Reje was awarded the Initiative Prize for his children’s album Onkel Rejes Heavyband. In addition to the variety of awards given out this evening, there were several live performances by Molina, Awinbeh, Ganger, Tessa, Efterklang and The Orchard’s distributed artist ORM. ORM is a Danish black metal group that was nominated for ‘Release of the Year’ for their album Ir.
As part of our annual festivities, we invited labels and partners to join us for a pre-party at the beautiful surroundings of legendary Bremen Teater. Before the show took off, we had a lovely evening with friends celebrating the vast range of music coming out of Denmark.
