In her new position, Samii will draw upon her broad experience as an A&R and publishing executive to sign and develop artists for the company, as well as oversee recording projects for new and established Capitol artists.

Samii will assume her post on March 2 and will be based in Hollywood within the company’s iconic Capitol Tower.

Samii was instrumental in signing Marshmello whose 2019 Platinum track Happier, is the biggest single of the superstar DJ and producer’s career, and followed a host of smash collaborations with Selena Gomez, Khalid, Bastille, Migos, Anne-Marie, Logic, James Arthur, and Juicy J, among others, that have earned him nearly three billion streams to date.

Samii has also signed and worked with many other notable writers and artists, including Syd, Rogét Chahayed, Mike Crossey, Michael Matosic, Peter Thomas, Paul Meany, Vegyn, Jon Hume, Some Randoms and Uffie.

Samii joined Kobalt in 2011 as an assistant on the Creative team, rising in the ranks over the decade to her most recent position as Vice President.
