AWAL hires Jennifer Kirell as Vice President, Catalog Marketing | Music Business Worldwide

Kobalt’s recording company AWAL has hired Jennifer Kirell as VP, Catalog Marketing.

Based in Kobalt’s New York office, Kirell will oversee AWAL’s catalog marketing strategy and work closely with the global marketing, digital accounts, label management, and physical products teams.

Her focus will include the full AWAL roster and cover all artists and labels with catalog.

Prior to joining the AWAL team, Kirell spent 11 years with Sony Music Entertainment, most recently at Legacy Recordings under the Commercial Music Group.

There, she led global marketing campaigns and audience development strategies for artists including Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash, Billy Joel, Backstreet Boys and Loretta Lynn.

Kirell is also an alum of the inaugural American Express Women in Music Leadership Academy.
