Independent, Oxford Mississippi-born Fat Possum Records has appointed Melinda Caffin as COO.
Caffin will oversee the company’s strategy and business operations, and will be based in New York.
Industry veteran Caffin brings her 25 years of experience to Fat Possum after serving as CFO of Red Bull Records.
She was previously VP Finance & Label Operations of RED Distribution/Sony Music Entertainment, Director of Business Affairs at Atlantic Records, and Manager of Finance at Tommy Boy Records.
Fat Possum, approaching it’s 30 year anniversary counts the likes of Al Green, Spiritualized and Courtney Marie Andrews on its roster.Music Business Worldwide
