Big Deal Music Group has signed a joint venture deal with Nice Life Copyright Company, the music publishing company founded by Grammy award nominated producer/writer/artist, Ricky Reed.

Big Deal will administer songs for Nice Life and the two companies will join forces to sign new talent.

Ricky Reed has co-written or co-produced songs with such artists as Halsey (Bad At Love), Leon Bridges (Good Thing), Twenty One Pilots (Blurryface) as well as The Weeknd, Sza and more.

Not only is Lizzo signed to Ricky’s Nice Life Recording Company via Atlantic Records, he is a major contributor to her 2019 breakthrough album Cuz I Love You, co-writing and producing seven tracks, including her No.1 single Truth Hurts.

His work in 2017 was recognized by the Grammys, which nominated him for Producer of the Year.

He has also written with or produced for such artists as Jason Derulo, Meghan Trainor, Kesha, Mike Posner, FIDLAR, Phantogram, Maroon 5, Bomba Estereo, Maggie Rogers, 5 Seconds of Summers, Maren Morris and many others…

The Big Deal/Nice Life joint venture has already produced some new singings, including writer/producer Tele, who also co-wrote/co-produced Lizzo’s No.1 single Truth Hurts, and writer/producers King Garbage who co-wrote Power Is Power by The Weeknd, SZA and Travis Scott, the single from For The Throne (music inspired by Game of Thrones).

“Ricky and I go back many, many years, so to be able to combine our teams and sign and develop new talent with such a close friend is really an extension of the family ethos that drives both of our companies.”
