Sony Music is launching a new joint venture label in Germany with SDM – the artist management, production and A&R company run by CEO, Stefan Dabruck and GM, Frank Klein.

Famouz Records is being launched as a new imprint at Sony GSA in conjunction with SDM, which says it will provide Sony with access to its creative network.

For more than 20 years, manager/producer duo Dabruck and Klein have worked with artists including  Robin Schulz, Alle Farben, Hugel, Panjabi MC and Laserkraft 3D.

Since its foundation in 2017, SDM itself has managed DJs and producers in Germany, Greece, Azerbaijan plus various songwriters in Nashville, USA.

Patrick Mushatsi-Kareba, CEO Sony Music GSA, said: “As DJs, producers, managers and entrepreneurs, Stefan Dabruck and Frank Klein have written a terrific success story.

“From now on we intend to continue that story together with Famouz Records and release successful pop music, that causes sensations far beyond the German market. That’s the goal of the shared journey we are undertaking together with Stefan, Frank and the whole SDM team.”
