Alastair Kinross appointed Head of A&R at Insanity Records | Music Business Worldwide


UK-based label Insanity Records has appointed Alastair Kinross as Head of A&R.

Insanity Records is a frontline label, joint venture between Sony Music UK and the Insanity Group, established in 2015.

He will start with immediate effect and report into Andy Varley, President of Insanity Records.

Kinross joins Insanity from Sony/ATV publishing where he was Senior A&R Manager.

He has more than ten years publishing experience, having previously worked as Creative Manager and UK/LA Writer Relations Executive at BMG, and A&R at San Remo Publishing.

His signings include M.I.A, JNR Williams, Levi Lennox (Zayn – Pillowtalk), EY (Drake – OmertĂ , Swae Lee), Electric (Jess Glynne – I’ll Be There, Little Mix – Shout Out to My Ex), ADP (Chris Brown, Yungen – Bestie), and ZieZie.

Insanity has enjoyed No.1 album success with Craig David, and a Top 5 breakthrough album from Tom Grennan.

The label is also home to emerging artists Joy Crookes and JNR Williams.
