Logic enters JV with Def Jam for new label BobbyBoy Records | Music Business Worldwide

Grammy-nominated artist Logic (aka Bobby Hall) has entered into a joint venture with Universal Music Group-owned Def Jam for his new record label, BobbyBoy Records.

The company will encompass all of Logic’s creative endeavors, from artist development to book publishing, according to Def Jam.

Logic posted a video to Instagram yesterday (June 19) in which he announced the news and explained why he changed the label’s name from Elysium.



The first artists to join the company are John Lindahl, Damian Lemar Hudson and Big Lenbo.

Logic’s manager Chris Zarou recently entered into a worldwide talent development partnership with Sony Music Entertainment and launched Sony Music imprint Visionary Records.

Last month Logic signed an exclusive, worldwide administration deal with Universal Music Publishing Group.Music Business Worldwide
