Independent publisher CTM opens Latin division in partnership with production duo Play-N-Skillz | Music Business Worldwide


Independent, Netherlands-based music publisher CTM has opened a Latin music division in partnership with production duo Play-N-Skillz.

CTM says that discussions with Play-N-Skillz began earlier this year “in an ambitious effort to open more offices in the main global A&R markets of the world and to stake their claim on the Latin scene”.

Music manager Steve Lobel will also play an active role in CTM LATIN, with the first signings to be announced this coming September.

Play-N-Skillz produced and co-wrote Latin hit Con Calma by Daddy Yankee & Snow, which has been streamed more than 1 billion times.

The brothers Juan ‘Play’ and Oscar ‘Skillz’ Salinas have worked with an impressive roster of superstar artists like Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Flo Rida, Steve Aoki, Elvis Crespo, Pitbull, David Guetta and many more.

Play-N-Sklillz have been nominated for various Grammies and won a Grammy for the single, Ridin’ by Chamillionaire and Krayzie Bone.

De Raaff founded independent publisher Imagem, which he sold to Concord for more than $500m in 2017.
