Greg March is CEO of creative media agency Noble People, which offers communications strategy and media planning and buying services to brands like Venmo, Postmates and Zola. The shop also worked with Bumble on a campaign that featured the stories of 112 different New Yorkers, including the founder of SoulCycle, a deputy chief of staff in the Obama administration and a transgender opera singer.

In episode 6 of the “Ad Block” podcast, March talks about his nascent collection of pinball machines—an homage of sorts to his father’s love of watches. “There is no less impermanent business than advertising,” he says. “Some of these machines have been around for 40 years. A ball hits a light, and then the light goes on—it’s a physical thing. I spend my whole day on screens. I guess to have a hobby that is tactile and physical, but also incorporates art and storytelling all at the same time, it touched a lot of buttons for me.”

He also weighs in on screen time for his kids, too much cheese, and the dangers of reckless entrepreneurship.
