Buffalo Wild Wings, Southwest Airlines, and others ride 'Game of Thrones' final season | Advertising Age

The "Game of Thrones" brand stunts are coming.

Mountain Dew’s #FortheThrone campaign and Oreo’s House-inspired cookie release are two recent examples. More are on the horizon, however, as brands capitalize on the April 14 premiere of the show’s eighth and final season.

Buffalo Wild Wings
The spot for the wings chain pays homage to one of the show's favorite animals with Dragon Fire, a limited-edition wing sauce that combines ghost and chili peppers and jalapeño garnish. It’s available only on the day of the premiere.

Shake Shack
The burger chain's West Village location in New York is creating its own version of Daenerys Targaryen's Dragonstone Throne. The Queen’s throne will be in place on Friday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Shake Shack is also partnering with HBO to introduce "Game of Thrones"-themed menu items on Friday, April 12: the Dracarys Burger and Dragonglass Shake. Marketers for the restaurant say that burgers are “griddled by the fires of Drogon and Rhaegal” and use spices “sourced from the conquered cities of Yunhai, Meeren and Astapor.” The shakes feature shards of dragonglass straight from the Dragonstone caves.

Southwest Airlines
Real-life flight attendant John Snow shares his name with the "Game of Thrones" bastard prince. In the spot, passengers recognize the Southwest employee as he walks through an airport terminal. Despite his lack of resemblance to the character, lots of people ask for pictures. And John Snow faces some of the same challenges as the show's character, who is constantly reminded that he knows nothing and that, yes, "winter is coming."

Kool-Aid
In a video posted to Twitter, the Kool-Aid man charges through the 700-foot ice wall that separates Seven Kingdoms from the land of the wildings. The stunt is complete with freezing weather of the show's Westeros continent and, of course, dramatic music. Oh yeah!

The Action Network
Would you bet on your knowledge of Westeros? Action Network, a sports betting insights company, is offering $500 to the person who answers the most episode-related questions correctly.

Some of the questions on the Action Network app include:

Which of these characters will appear shirtless on screen first in the Season 8 premiere? (Jon Snow, Gendry, Grey Worm, None of the above)

How many Greyjoys — Theon, Yara, and/or Euron — will die in the premiere? (0, 1, 2, 3)
