Top music lawyer Monika Tashman joins Manatt’s entertainment practice as Partner | Music Business Worldwide

Monika Tashman has joined the New York office of law firm Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP as Partner in the entertainment practice.

Tashman is known for working with clients ranging from creative artists and emerging entrepreneurs to independent record labels and new media and technology companies.

Tashman is the second Partner to join the entertainment practice at Manatt recently, following the addition of Neil Sacker as partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office in December.

Prior to joining Manatt, Tashman was a partner of Fox Rothschild LLP, where she advised on and managed client relationships in the entertainment, media and technology practices.

Tashman is also active in a variety of industry organizations, including the GRAMMY Music Education Coalition, a member of the Advisory Board for Women in Music and was the New York lead and a member of the steering committee of her previous firm’s Women’s Initiative.
