ole acquires Parallel Music Publishing catalog | Music Business Worldwide

Ole has concluded an exclusive worldwide deal with Parallel Music Publishing, acquiring 100% of Parallel’s catalog of more than 6,500 songs.

As part of the deal, ole also adds six active songwriters to its roster, as well as a series of singles expected to hit the charts in 2019.

In addition to the deal, Parallel Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Tim Hunze, joins ole in the role of Senior Director of Creative.

Working out of its Nashville office, Hunze will be responsible for working with ole’s roster of songwriters and artists.

Hunze brings extensive experience in music publishing and recorded music; under Hunze’s management, Parallel songwriters were responsible for five No.1 hits.

Founded in 1992 as a personal management company to launch the celebrated Blue Collar Comedy Tour, Parallel quickly became one of the most successful talent management, music publishing and production companies in the entertainment business.

The Parallel catalog includes the No.1 hits: The Band Perry’s Better Dig Two, Kelsea Ballerini’s Love Me Like You Mean It, Justin Moore’s Till My Last Day, and Michael Ray’s Kiss You In the Morning, as well as Miranda Lambert’s Mama’s Broken Heart, which went to No.2 at Country Radio.

“Parallel has a great roster of writers and artists; the staff is incredibly well-respected and knowledgeable, and the momentum built by Tim Hunze and his team continues to grow. We’re proud to have them as part of the ole family now.”
