Blue Raincoat Songs signs Bodega, Self Esteem and Ben de Vries | Music Business Worldwide

Blue Raincoat Songs, the publishing arm of Blue Raincoat Music has signed Bodega (pictured), Self Esteem and Ben de Vries on a global basis.

The three new signings join a roster that includes Let’s Eat Grandma, The Wandering Hearts, Nerina Pallot and William The Conqueror.

Blue Raincoat Songs is part of the Blue Raincoat Music Group of Companies, led by Jeremy Lascelles and producer Robin Millar, with the backing of Chris Wright and former Virgin Entertainment Chairman Robert Devereux.

Brooklyn five-piece art rock and post punk band Bodega released their debut album Endless Scroll on the independent label What’s Your Rupture last year.

This year will see a follow up release as well as European dates and festivals in the summer.

Writer, producer, arranger/performerBen de Vries has worked with David Gray on his new record, co-producing the album and co-writing four tracks and is now a member of Gray’s touring band. He also has his own band Lunacre, for whom he is the writer and singer.

Self Esteem aka Rebecca Taylor is the former front woman in indie band Slow Club, who released five albums on Moshi and then Caroline Records between 2009-2016.

Self Esteem’s album Compliments please is released via Fiction Records on March 1.
