Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Top Models Face Fyre Festival Subpoenas | hypebot

image from celebrityaccess.comKendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, and Emily Ratajkowski and other top models, as well as the modeling agencies that represent them, can now be subpoenaed for their involvement in promoting the disastrous Fyre Festival, a federal judge ruled.

The ruling is part of a bankruptcy case involving the festival, which took place in the Bahamas in April of 2017.

The models all appeared in promotional videos and social media campaigns leading up to the ill-fated event, and now a judge says they must disclose how much they were paid to participate.

Fyre Festival was initially promoted as a luxury festival getaway on a private island costing thousands-of-dollars per person. Unfortunately for festival goers, it turned out to be more of a Lord of The Flys situation, with organizers having failed to provide even basic necessities like food and shelter.

Fyre Festival founder Billy McFarland has since been sentenced to six years in prison on fraud charges related to the event. Two separate documentaries detailing the chaos of Fyre Festival premiered on Netflix and Hulu earlier this month.
