Archie Davis joins RCA Records as SVP, Marketing and launches JV label Six Course Music Group | Music Business Worldwide


Archie Davis has been appointed SVP, Marketing at RCA Records.

In addition to his appointment, RCA has entered into a new joint venture label with Davis (pictured) entitled Six Course Music Group.

As SVP of marketing, Davis will oversee innovative marketing campaigns for the company’s diverse artist repertoire by ensuring that the artists are supported by the right creative resources to grow their brands and careers.

In addition to his role at RCA, Davis is the CEO of Six Course Inc, a creative agency and production company.

Within the agency will live Six Course Music Group where Davis will discover, sign and develop artists under the Six Course Music Group/RCA Records imprint.

Archie Davis is an award-winning entertainment-marketing executive who has created some of today’s most prolific and celebrated campaigns for artists and brands.

Davis and his Six Course team’s recent campaign for fast food company Wendy’s featured a five-track mixtape titled We Beefin?.

The project has won nine Cannes Lions awards and four Clio awards including a Grand Prix.

Since its debut, We Beefin?, has garnered over a half billion social media impressions, and delivered Wendy’s a charting album on iTunes.

Prior to joining RCA, Davis was SVP of Urban Marketing at Interscope Records where he oversaw campaigns for Top Dawg Entertainment’s Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Eardrummers, Rae Sremmurd, Mike Will Made-it, Rich The Kid as well as the highly acclaimed Black Panther soundtrack.

Davis joined Interscope through their college marketing program in 2008. He also helped pioneer the OPM Company alongside Dom Kennedy.

Davis sits on the board of advisors for Dreamhaus, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization dedicated to implementing the arts as both an educational tool and as a viable career path.
