Symphonic Distribution hires Eshan Shah Jahan as Head of Product in New York | Music Business Worldwide

Fast-growing distribution and label services company, Symphonic Distribution, has hired Eshan Shah Jahan as Head of Product based in New York.

Jahan previously spent 11 years leading Product Management and Design at The Orchard, most recently as SVP, Product Engineering.

During his time at the Sony-owned distribution company, Jahan designed a new dashboard and a variety of business intelligence tools for labels and artists which aimed to give greater transparency into their royalties.

Other areas that came under Jahan’s purview at The Orchard included the integrated support for multiple languages and currencies, localized release and artist metadata, and an international physical distribution network.

The exec also designed solutions for rights and conflict management for UGC and performance rights collection, mechanical administration services, and a growing film and TV business across theatrical, EST, VOD, and term license revenue streams.

Prior to his time at The Orchard, Jahan worked as a software developer in streaming media.

Symphonic Distribution, headquartered in Tampa, FL, digitally distributes music to over 300 retail and streaming platforms, for thousands of labels and artists worldwide.
