The Orchard has named Jessica Phelps as General Manager, Nashville. As head of The Orchard’s Nashville team. Phelps joins from Q Prime Management, where she acted as Head of Sales in the Label Services Department.

• Symphonic has hired former Orchard executive Nick Gordon as Chief Client Officer and former Universal Music exec Jaime Feldman as Content Development Specialist, in New York and Los Angeles, respectively, as part of an ongoing company expansion.

• Music manager Scott Maclachlan is joining Warner Music Australasia as SVP of A&R. He was the co-founder and director of Saiko Management, a boutique music management company best known for discovering Lorde and SOL3 MIO.

Spotify is expanding to the Middle East with its UAE launch planned for Q4 of this year, a source close to the development told MENAbytes.
