Warner Music Norway promotes Mike Herbrik to General Manager | Music Business Worldwide


Mike Herbrik has been promoted to General Manager of Warner Music Norway after spending nearly four years in A&R at the label.

He takes up the role immediately and reports to Jonas Siljemark, President of Warner Music Nordics.

Herbrik joined Warner Music Norway in 2014 as A&R Manager, becoming A&R Director the following year.

Artists he’s worked with include Julie Bergan, Kristian Kristensen, Emilie Nicolas, Madden, and Fay Wildhagen.

Siljemark said: “Mike is an incredible talent who has won the trust and confidence of our local artists in Norway over the last few years as he’s headed up our A&R operations in Oslo.

Herbrik added: “I’m so delighted to be heading up the incredible team at Warner Music Norway. 

“I want to make sure that we’re known as the first choice for Norwegian artists because they know we’ll always give 110 per cent to build their careers at home and around the world.”    

Herbrik began his career in the music industry in 2009 when he worked in brand partnerships and marketing for hard rock label Roadrunner Records, which was owned by Warner Music Group. 

While there, artists he worked with included Slash and Slipknot.

In 2011, Herbrik joined Coca-Cola as Music Manager on the company’s London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic project team where he managed Coca-Cola’s Olympic torch relay music strategy, including the Torch Relay Finale in London’s Hyde Park.
