Tom Overbury leaving Warner/Chappell UK to join Syco | Music Business Worldwide

Warner/Chappell Music UK Senior A&R Manager Tom Overbury is leaving the publishing company.

MBW understands the exec has taken a new job working at London-based Syco Music, which is led by Managing Director Tyler Brown.

He officially departs Warner/Chappell at the end of the month.

Overbury (pictured) signed the likes of Mac & Phil (The Chainsmokers, Emeli Sande, Naughty Boy), Jonny Lattimer (Ellie Goulding, Tom Grennan, Tom Odell) and the hotly-tipped HMLTD (executive-produced by Justin Tranter) at Chappell.

He also signed Ina Wroldsen to the company, who co-wrote hits such as Calvin Harris ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ as well as Clean Bandit ‘Rockabye’ & ‘Symphony’.

Wroldsen signed an artist recording deal with Syco last year.

Before joining Chappell in 2014, Overbury worked at BMG where he signed You Me At Six for masters and publishing.Music Business Worldwide
