Ditto Music expands with 12 new global offices: ‘Artists are moving away from major label deals.’ | Music Business Worldwide

Music distributor and record label service, Ditto Music, has opened no less than 12 new offices worldwide.

In addition to the company’s eight existing offices, Ditto has opened new operations in Sweden, Brazil, Mexico, Philippines, South Africa, France, Argentina, Chile, India, Canada, South Korea and Spain.

New senior management includes ex-Universal VP Rodrigo Ratto (Brazil), former head of A&R at Warner Brothers Jinno Minna (Philippines), ex-head of labels at Believe Digital Ariel Etbul (Mexico) and former Saregama exec Gautam Sarkar to manage Ditto’s Indian operations.

In March, Ditto expanded its presence in the US with the opening of its Los Angeles office, adding to its operations in the United Kingdom, Australia and throughout Europe.

“Artists are moving away from major label deals and towards independence because companies like Ditto give them more attention, better terms and more revenue.”

The UK-born company has also launched a new multilingual website this week as part of its international development.

“Artists are moving away from major label deals and towards the independence because companies like Ditto give them more attention, better terms and more revenue,” said Lee Parsons, Ditto Music CEO & Founder.

“I’m excited how the huge milestones happening at Ditto right now will benefit musicians worldwide.”

Ditto says it has doubled both its user base and its revenue in 2017.

And that’s not all: the firm tells MBW that it is ready to open ten new global headquarters in January 2018.

Ditto has handled four Top 20 albums in the UK this year, in addition to its first Top 50 Billboard album from YouTuber Dodie Clark (‘Dodie’).
